Size is determined by the longest dimension, either length or width. If design includes a loop then the loop is to be included in the size, with the exception of circle shape badges.
Metal badges are generally made from copper or brass material.
Many finishes are available to provide different looking end products, these include:
- Die stamping with soft enamel colours and epoxy coating
- Die stamping with hard enamel colours (cloisonné)
- Photo Etching with enamel colours and epoxy coating
- Printing with epoxy coating
Metal plating colours available, included in badge price are gold plating, nickel (silver) plating and black nickel (black) plating. Other plating colours such as antique finishes are available at an extra cost.
Colours are matched using Pantone (PMS) colours, and up to 5 enamel colours are included in the price. (4 colours for printed badges).
Metal thickness varies depending on type and size of badge, from 0.8 mm to 1.6 mm.
Die charges are applicable to all new orders. Dies are the property of Badges Plus and are held for a period of 2 years from the date of the last order. After 2 years we reserve the right to dispose of the die without notification.
Price includes either safety pin or butterfly and clutch attachment. Many other attachments are available at an extra cost, for example:
- Keyring fitting
- Stickpin with end cover
- Cuff links
- Tie bar
- Money clip
- And many others
Sequential Numbering can be added to the back of badges or keyrings for membership and other purposes.
Delivery is approximately 4-6 weeks after written order confirmation and artwork approval. Urgent orders may be possible depending on workload, and may incur a rush order fee.
